• At one time I had my own law firm. It was a solo practice and it was a good way to spend some years learning about the “real world”. It helped buy a house for my Wife and I  and Chomsky, our dog.
•  I worked for a large law firm for a little while. It was a good way to learn how the real world really works. 
• I have a US Merchant Mariners license although I've never worked on a ship.
• I sold lingerie in a department store when I was in college. I've always thought it was weird they allowed me to do that.
• I spent many years working for record stores and musical instrument shops.
• I use to teach swimming and life-guarded for years. Swimming was a big part of my younger life.
• In the here and now, I am practicing residential real estate and project management. Every day I  help people work through transitions and transactions.
• Chi Gong was something I tried for a year. I really found it useful and it gave me a sense of the energy around me and within my own body. I'd do it some more if I had more time.
• I'm now involved in a Buddhist mindfulness community and practice daily. It goes well with my newly found interest in yoga.
